Every now and then, I just produce these gems of observation. Some of them even sound like they're lifted from other people. Who knows? Life happens, I experience and I comment!
At one end of the spectrum, you have people who will volunteer for a political campaign, and at the other end, you have people who assassinate politicians...luckily, most people fall somewhere in between.

In a way, I really admire politicians. Not for their willingness to serve the public or themselves, for that matter, but for their willingness to expose themselves to the lunatic fringe that is part of every society, who may be unhappy with their politics sufficiently enough to harass, vandalize, and yes, even kill. Talk about retracting your vote.
